Blue or Pink, What do you think?

In honor of Throwback Thursday, I thought I would share our Gender Reveal Party today.

Back in November, we had a blood test to determine the sex of the baby. The doctor put the results in a sealed envelope and we found out with our family and friends at our Gender Reveal Party. Since it was November, we went with a football theme.

The Reveal Box Jamie and I made.

The voting station.

The chalkboard we used to reveal to my family we were expecting.
We let Maddi announce the news to Bryan's family with a pink Big Sister shirt.
The votes at the end of the night. Team Pink got the most votes!

Sticker to show which team you chose.

Pink and Blue drink station, with Team Blue or Team Pink cups

Blue and Pink them dessert table.
We also had chili, chips, queso and several other goodies to much on.

The box right before the reveal

IT'S A.....BOY!!!!! Wait, what?!
We opened the box to find lots of blue balloons - much to our surprise!! We then proceeded to open gifts - lots of boy gifts. We were VERY VERY shocked, as I KNEW we were having a girl.

At the end of the night, after almost all the guests had left, Bryan's mom looked at the envelope from the doctor. She had a look of shock on her face, and couldn't even tell me what she saw! Susan had to tell me,  inside the envelope with the BLUE paper, the party store did not open up the post it to see GIRL written on the inside. We had to tell our guests, we were actually having a sweet baby girl. This took a while to process, and we were still confused for a couple days as to what the sex of our baby was. We had the party over a holiday weekend, so we had to wait until Tuesday to call the doctor to confirm, we were in fact having a girl!
Sealed envelope from the doctor with a blue folded post-it that said "GIRL"
